Orlando, FL (March 14, 2019) – Coming off the heels of their road trip to Kansas City and Milwaukee, the Orlando SeaWolves come back home to the Silver Spurs Arena to host the Florida Tropics on Friday the 15th at 7:35 P.M. and then the Kansas City Comets on Saturday the 16th at 7:05 P.M. Both those matches will also be televised online at masl.tv.

“We’ve put ourselves in a decent position,” Head Coach Tom Traxler said after practice on Wednesday. “We’re solidly in a playoff race. As is Kansas City, as is St. Louis, so this weekend is pivotal for us. We have two home games and we need to win them both.”

The Tropics are coming off a 7-6 loss against the St. Louis Ambush, despite a four-goal effort from forward Ricardo Diegues. Florida now sit at 5-13 and at the bottom of the South Central division. Diegues, who scored twice against Orlando in their most recent meeting, leads the team in goals with 17.

The Comets, meanwhile, are coming off a 10-9 loss to the Baltimore Blast. At one point down 5-0, Kansas City made a push at a comeback, falling just short at the end. At 9-9, Kansas City currently sit in second in the divisional standings, two spots above the SeaWolves. Leo Gibson continues to lead the line for the Comets with 26 goals and 24 assists, sitting top five in the MASL in both categories.

After their games this weekend, the SeaWolves will head back on the road for another back-to-back as they travel to Baltimore and Harrisburg on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23. Orlando’s game against the Blast will be 7:35 PM EST on Friday, while the Saturday game at the Heat will be at 7:05 PM EST.
