Orlando Seawolves Finish Out Season Hosting Utica, Florida

Orlando, FL – As the MASL regular season comes to a close, the Orlando SeaWolves prepare to finish out their season hosting Utica City FC and the Florida Tropics. The game vs Utica will be on Friday will be at 7:35 P.M. at the Silver Spurs Arena, then the Tropics match will be on Saturday at 7:05 P.M. Both those matches will also be televised online at masl.tv.

“This weekend is a chance for us to play two more times this season in front of some great supporters,” Head Coach Tom Traxler said after training on Tuesday. “You play for them, and that’s what we want to do.” 

Utica is coming off a 5-4 loss to the Baltimore Blast, sitting them in second place in the Eastern Conference. They are led by the balanced scoring of Slavisa Ubiparipovic, Joey Tavernese, and Bo Jelovac who all lead the team with 19 goals on the season. Ubiparipovic leads the team in assists and points.

The Tropics are coming off a 4-2 loss also to the Blast. Ricardo Diegues leads the team in goals scored, while Victor Parreiras leads them in assists and points.

Following Saturday’s game, the first season for the SeaWolves will come to a close, but the MASL playoffs will continue starting on Sunday, April 14. Fans can follow along on www.maslsoccer.com to see who comes out with the coveted Ron Newman Cup.
