ORLANDO, FL – The Orlando SeaWolves have announced that they have reached an agreement with the R9 Academy to become the SeaWolves training facility for the 2019-2020 season.

Founded in September of 2015, the R9 Academy was created with the mission to spread its unique playing style, which helped make its founder, Ronaldo “The Phenomenon” Luíz Nazario de Lima, one of the most respected players in the history of soccer.

The facility occupies approximately five acres of land, with 4 soccer fields – one indoor, three with synthetic grass and one with natural grass complete with led lighting and protection fence – locker rooms, showers, acclimatized lounge with a snack area, and a parking lot.

The SeaWolves will have access to their own private locker room, complete with lockers, showers, a film room, meeting space, and an athletic trainer station.

“We are beyond excited to partner with one of the standout soccer facilities in Orlando,” said SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis. “The R9 Academy’s amenities are top-notch and we can’t wait to start practice there this week.”

The SeaWolves will be hosting their 2nd annual Fan Fest on November 17th at Silver Spurs Arena. Doors open at 1 pm with a preseason game against the SeaWolves Reserves at 3 pm.
