Orlando, FL (December 4, 2019) – The Orlando SeaWolves have re-signed defender/attacker Derek Huffman. The 31-year-old defender has played 49 games in MASL and has scored 24 goals and 16 assists. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. To make room for Huffman on the SeaWolves 26 player roster, Miguel Shepherd was released. Huffman will miss Thursday’s game against Florida due to a suspension carried over from last season, but he will be available for selection at Saturday’s game in Baltimore.

Huffman signed late last season with Orlando, playing in 10 games and scoring seven goals and adding three assists.

“Derek has proven himself as a versatile player in this league,” SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis said, “He has the ability to shut down several of the league's top target forwards and play as a target up top himself. We’re happy to have him back with us.”

Season and single-game tickets are on sale now for the 2019-20 season for all Orlando SeaWolves home games starting as low as $10 per game. Go to http://www.orlandoseawolves.com/tickets to reserve yours today.
