Orlando SeaWolves Sign Four New Players

Orlando, FL – The Orlando SeaWolves have signed veteran midfielder Bobby Hurwitz, midfielder JC Henson, and defenders Mike Semedo and Stefan Mijatovic for the remainder of the 2018-19 season. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed. All four players will be available for this weekend’s matchups.

“Bobby and JC both provide us with speed in the midfield that will help us in our playoff push,” SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis said, “While Semedo and Mijatovic are both big, physical defenders, who will be beneficial to our defense when we play very physical teams down the stretch.” 

Hurwitz, a league veteran of six years, previously played for the Cedar Rapids Rampage, St. Louis Ambush and Tacoma Stars. Having played 62 games in his career, he has scored 28 goals, adding 16 assists. Last season with the Rampage, he scored a career-high 15 goals in 21 games played.

Henson joins the SeaWolves having come from the Tacoma Stars Reserves team. He also spent time with the Seattle Impact, scoring four goals and tallying four assists in 12 games played.

Semedo joins Orlando after spending time with the Baltimore Blast camp. The 6’ defender has also spent time with the Elm City Express in the NPSL, having attended Post University for collegiate soccer.

Mijatovic, an Elmhurst, Illinois native, previously played for the Chicago Mustangs alongside current SeaWolves players Mario Alvarez, Osvaldo Rojas and Edwin Rojas. The tall 6’5” defender scored one goal in seven games played with the Mustangs.
