SEAWOLVES ACQUIRE ELMO NETO IN TRADE WITH HARRISBURG

Orlando, FL – The Orlando SeaWolves have acquired forward Elmo Marques Ferrira Neto, also known as Neto,  from the Harrisburg Heat in exchange for cash considerations.

Neto, a native of Goias, Brazil, has had an incredibly successful career, spanning eight seasons of indoor soccer. He has scored 128 goals in 130 games, spanning both the MISL and MASL. Neto is coming off a season with Harrisburg that saw him score 14 goals in 15 games played, to go along with three assists.

The forward has previously played with the Syracuse Silver Knights, Cedar Rapids Rampage and Harrisburg Heat in his MASL career, having played with current SeaWolves players Gordy Gurson and Thiago Freitas in past years.

“Neto is one of the best target forwards in this league,” SeaWolves General Manager Chris Kokalis said, “His ability to hold the ball along with his experience and strength will make him a tremendous asset for the club.”

In another transaction, Orlando has released defender Phibo Arriaga, who has signed for the Florida Tropics. The SeaWolves would like to wish him luck in Lakeland.
